Building Materials and Construction Technology
klaskarlsson: [citat] That definitely looks like it's part of the floor joists (roof trusses)
Ludde67: The review from UNT https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1DN8jU6xfw/
klaskarlsson: [citat] It seems like there are many schools of thought on this. I have chosen to use a vapor retarder in the new installations I do in our house from the 70s since I can't ensure it’s 100% sealed, and I’d rather see that moisture can migrate out again. It is built without any plastic with 70mm of rock wool in the walls and 95mm in the ceiling insulation, where I have added another 95mm.
Pjosk75: There was no time for that during the visit as there were other things that were more important to get done.
Midas4: The humidity in the sill is 8%. Anticimex has measured in two places. It's natural ventilation.
Stoffe-q: [citat] It's hard to see if they stop there or are just rabbeted at the top. Possibly there's a post as number 2 to the left of the door.
evoline: [citat] Thanks, I'll go with the one from Biltema you linked to. Sika Boom 405 is not available at Bauhaus or Hornbach.
Eld: Nylon plugs can probably support 10-20 kg with some safety if the concrete is healthy. If the load is greater than that, I would use chemical anchor instead. It is quite common to have a thick layer of plaster on the concrete. You can hardly hang anything on plaster.
evoline: Thank you for the answers. No, no wheels on. There will be a small rail on the back edge of the tables so nothing falls off the back.
Tenebris: [citat] We have that in the rest of the apartment. So yes, that's an option too.
Spik_och_Skruv: Quick concrete filling should work well for that.
Erik Salhammar: [citat] I would have taken fiber cement. Perhaps 12 mm thick. And a good outdoor adhesive. The frame behind could perhaps be pressure-treated wood.
fribygg: If you place the wall sheeting across the wall studs and screw it in, I am convinced it will be stable (avoid having butt joints in the same stud bay on both the outside and inside).
Beckett: Thank you for the answers, but then I will try to do this myself if it is indeed dry there :) If it's not more than what I think it is.
Boxer63: Ok, good! Then the moisture-affected plaster should be old if the drainage is done correctly.
MOW: Hi, curious about how it went for you. We have a concrete balcony where I'm considering laying roofing felt to make it waterproof from above. It is concrete now but a bit worn and hardly watertight... So I was wondering if you'd like to share how you did it?
Joppe11: [citat] No suspicion, but the house is from the late 1970s. Just want to be on the safe side since it's not my area. .
Gabsson: Did it become a bullerplank? I am in the same thoughts.
Originalet: Thank you, that's what I suspected. I was thinking of having a very simple shed for garden tools and mostly bikes. Then it seems very unnecessary to build it according to EI 30. It's probably easier to build a "friggebod" right next to it instead. [citat]
Jansson69: [citat] Yes, it wasn't easy to see, in which direction are the roof trusses positioned according to the drawing? Do you have pictures of the roof trusses in the attic so we can see how they're made and what type?
Salmanan: [citat] [bild] Hi! Here you have a picture from my latest project. Sometimes I have bad luck when I'm thinking. Instead of going and getting some drywall, I spent an unreasonable number of hours filling the treetex boards. It turned out well, but I could have used my time better.
Svammlet: [citat] It doesn't work on all metal straps, some only have 4mm holes and there are no 4mm screws that can hold to tighten a 2x40mm strap.
fribygg: [citat] A mounting screw of the right length should be suitable, with the large head it CAN'T go too far into the chipboard.
CarlLunk: [citat] Yes, I'd prefer not to have a big ugly 4-way outlet. Does anyone have a better solution? Please share!
HSP: My previous house, which had the same layout, had a basement + upper floor with knee walls. = 1&1/2 story. They were not standard trusses. The roof elements on the lower floor were the floor of the upper floor. The trusses lacked a bottom chord.
Zwännzån: [citat] Yes, it will be 8 cm from the finished ceiling, it was 12 cm before from the crown to tretex. You can fit a small vacuum hose.
