Hi,
I have a 110V outlet for a shaver, brand SCHUPA.
Electrical outlet for razor, 110V, Schupa brand, labeled for conversion to 220V.

I now want to update to a regular 220V outlet.
I asked my electrician, and he "recalls" that he has seen such a conversion kit, but doesn't know where to get it!
Is there anyone out there who knows where to get such an insert that fits in the existing "box",
I would be very grateful for a contact!
Best regards,
Finn Olsen

I remember Eljo had an outlet for a "rakdosa" but it's been a long time since I saw one IRL, 90s.

Behind it, there is probably a transformer? If you remove the transformer and the outlet and install a regular electrical outlet, the problem is likely solved. Have I missed something?

The problem is that a standard flush-mounted outlet doesn't fit in the box; it's specialized for shaver outlets with a transformer. Possibly, one could install a surface-mounted (four-way, due to the size of the box) over all of it, but there might be issues with the waterproofing, etc...?

Hmm, isn't it possible to install Exxact 2-way in a mounting frame and cover?

In a bathroom with such a shaving socket, one can probably assume that the waterproofing has played out its role...

In addition to this, one must clarify whether the location where this socket is placed is suitable/approved for an electrical outlet. The absolute minimum requirement is that a residual current device is present, but there are also requirements in relation to the shower/bathtub.

What are the dimensions of the wall box behind it? A standard 2-way electrical outlet with those mounts that expand against the sides of the wall box?

No, it's completely divergent dimensions.

Hello,
Thank you for the response!
The picture shows the space where the transformer sits.
The inner dimensions of the box are 90*60mm
The contact is located in a toilet.
There is a residual-current device and additional grounding must, of course, be done!
On a "regular" wall socket, the covering area is about 100*80mm, so I will try to see if it's possible to adapt the mounting to the existing box.

There is a residual-current device and a grounding supplement obviously needs to be done!
On a "regular" wall outlet, the covering surface is approximately 100*80mm, so I will try
to see if the fastening can be adapted to the existing box.

There can't be any problems, just use the tabs you screw in and that press out into the walls of the junction box, instead of screws in the screw holes.

Hello everyone,
It's probably solvable, but my question was actually if anyone knows where it is possible to buy a ready-made insert, it would be nice to avoid having special solutions!

Isn't it not really a special solution to just attach an outlet?

tommib
Well, it's probably considered to be so. If it even fits in that thing.

Facing exactly the same dilemma, did you find a solution?
