Prefabricated House Mockfjärd 1971.
Hello!
I have bought a Mockfjärd prefabricated house from 1971. It's a single-story house of 118 m2. Brick facade and poor wood paneling that needs to be replaced. Is there anything specific one needs to consider there?
Then there are some cracks in the brick. "Should not affect underlying structures" according to the inspector.
I will also be replacing the roof on the house. Considering sheet metal, has anyone installed a metal roof on such a house?
Otherwise, there is a lot more that needs to be done hence the price. One bathroom that is original and pretty much all the surfaces.
I gratefully welcome tips and advice from those of you with similar houses. Can't find many threads with single-story houses.

I would probably focus on the foundation, specifically if it's slab-on-grade and see if moisture has penetrated the slab and traveled further up to the sill plate. Often requires a structural engineer who knows the weaknesses of this risk structure and can provide advice. If problems are found here, repairs are extensive, and floors must be torn up, etc.M Midas4 said:Hello!

Gratefully accepting tips and advice from those of you who have similar houses. I can't find many threads with single-story houses.
The ventilation may still be natural ventilation this construction year or if you are lucky, enhanced natural ventilation with a fan.
