I have a garage that is located just over 4m from the neighbor's garage. I now have an idea to build a storage shed against the garage wall, which would then be about 2.5m from the neighbor's garage.
The question is how it seems with fire protection in such a case. I can't find any information when I'm searching around properly.
There were simplified rules for small houses and their ancillary buildings regarding fire spread in BBR. This was to avoid expensive analytical design for such small and simple houses. Even though BBR is no longer with us, you are likely to meet the requirements if you follow this regulation - otherwise, every small house built in the past decades would not.
Thank you, that's what I suspected.
I was thinking of having a very simple shed for garden tools and mostly bikes. Then it seems very unnecessary to build it according to EI 30.
It's probably easier to build a "friggebod" right next to it instead.
