Nyatag: Sitting here amusing myself by going through the budget for a bunch of renovations done in 2024 - the idea is that it's also a useful exercise for planning the next phase. The construction company I had was on an ongoing basis and I have the hours - however, they weren't broken down for the different items, so it's a bit difficult to get an approximate idea of how long different things might

HRico: For soundproofing and impact sound insulation, you want the floor structure to have high weight. Fully insulate with heavy insulation (e.g., mineral wool). Then, add as much floor chipboard and floor gyproc as you can fit. The more layers, the better. An impact sound mat unfortunately helps almost nothing on light wooden floor structures. These are only effective from 500 Hz and upwards. The

Rickard.: No idea but those two black square screws look likely, or maybe there's something "under" the drill machines. What's really the purpose of being able to rotate this?, you can't drill anything other than in a straight line with the column

Nicro: How thick is the wall? How high is the bracket against the wall? The lever effect makes a big difference here. The strongest is anchor resin but requires a bit of anchoring depth.

Dowser4711: [citat] Yes, they were very similar and no samples were ever submitted, as it was my parents who put them up and my mother was quite paranoid about most of the things purchased. When they built the house in 1973, asbestos was a very well-known concept in society and not something attentive consumers bought unknowingly. As I said, a total ban on asbestos in all products was introduced in 1982, but

Matthies: Hello! The ceiling in my building is a concrete slab structure that does a good job of soundproofing speech and music from the neighbors above. However, thuds, footsteps, and scraping sounds when furniture is moved can be heard. My plan is to try to reduce this type of noise as much as possible. As a first step, I was thinking of injecting acoustic sealing caulk into the joints between the

FreQa: [citat] Good tips. You can simplify the "plug," which is to be screwed in, by cutting an octagonal piece of drywall from a larger piece and breaking away the drywall to get a good transition to fill over. I did this the last time I patched a hole [bild] A little filler on the edges of the octagon to adhere and seal against the sides of the round hole.

[citat] Depending on the condition, it might be possible to leave the old pipes in the corridor until it's time to renovate the corridor. It must be inspected with a camera.

Lonne: You can remove the railing and the 6 short spindles without compromising the staircase's construction; they might not seem stabilizing, but not in a way that you need to worry about the staircase's structure. If you remove that part, there's more concern about the increased risk of fall accidents. It's a good idea to save the parts you dismantle in case the result is not as you intended, if a
