Hello!

The ceiling in my building is a concrete slab structure that does a good job of soundproofing speech and music from the neighbors above. However, thuds, footsteps, and scraping sounds when furniture is moved can be heard.

My plan is to try to reduce this type of noise as much as possible.

As a first step, I was thinking of injecting acoustic sealing caulk into the joints between the concrete elements and any other small cavities.

However, the ceiling is hugely large (about 250 m2), so it will probably take a massive amount of caulk to seal everything.

Therefore, I'm wondering if cheap generic latex caulk (15kr/300ml) will suffice, or if I should invest in a more expensive Sikacryl 105 (35kr/300ml), or if something even more costly is necessary?

Very grateful for any tips!
