Seal against mice under kitchen cabinets
Hi! I've got some mice in my house and they are thriving under my kitchen cabinets. I installed new flooring and a kitchen last summer - and new to owning a house, I didn't think about sealing to keep mice out. I've sealed the gap between the floor and wall with stone wool but nothing more, and I'm pretty sure that's where the mice are getting in. Tonight, I caught two mice with a quarter-hour interval about an hour after setting out two traps under the kitchen cabinets.
Now to my question. I can't remove the kitchen fittings - but the kickboards are loose, so I can remove those. However, it's cramped and hard to access with a caulking gun to seal it. Does anyone have tips on how I can seal it?

Mice unfortunately eat through sealant. A wooden strip that you glue on is better. Then you also need to seal the house from the outside.
Ok, good to know! I can probably get a strip in place. Thank you very much!S Småbrukaren said:
I will repaint the facade and replace quite a lot of the panel on it when it gets warmer outside, so I'll make sure to seal it then as well. Also, I have a crawl space under almost the entire house - do you have any tips on how I best seal there?

It depends a bit on how humid/ventilated it is, but the easiest is some sheet material, like plywood pieces or oil-hardened board. Foam sealant around all pipe penetrations.
The mice get a bit desperate in the winter, so they don't give up easily.

Awesome, I'll get something like that in place. Thanks for the help!S Småbrukaren said:
Steel wool or buy steel wool designed for rats and mice. Great product.P prunila said:Hello! I've got some mice at home, and they are nesting under my kitchen cabinets.
