Ola78: Here you go, it's nice if you no longer have to think about how to deal with the screen roof. Your problem with the fastening, if you have vertical paneling, you can see where you've nailed it, and then you have a nailing batten behind it. Measure where you plan to have the top edge and see if you have a nailing batten nearby, then measure where you should screw the next hole. The nailing battens

Strip: Moldings are usually almost knot-free and at least I can't see any difference between spruce and pine wood. I assume you'll have some form of varnish on, right? Completely without experience or expertise, I advise you to get some regular moldings and compare with the ceiling you bought.

Eld: I have seen loose pipes for sale at several different hardware stores.
Strip: Get out a file or a multimaster, patience, and a little glue. Shouldn't be any major problem to fix that. d^_^b
Great: ok thanks, I thought it might become leaky, the small part that is in the garage ceiling in the joist layer is about 35cm in height, but at the same time I've heard that if you have a crawl space foundation, you don't put plastic on the floor, the moisture rises upwards?
johanln: Thanks for the answers! I'll use plastic then, but if it's to be effective against radon gas, it needs to be sealed tightly at the edges, otherwise the gas will leak up there. How do you go about achieving that?
Svanteman: I would probably choose to apply a thin layer, very thin, like nothing :) Glue them instead, just make sure the wallpapers behind are properly attached, or even better, put up battens behind but gluing in strips works fine, fill up with putty if it's uneven behind.
