I was thinking of rebuilding the deck that was removed when we did the drainage. The size is about 15 meters wide and 4-5 meters deep.

- Place half Leca blocks on the ground
- Since a trench about 60 cm deep was dug along the house, I plan to place a Leca block 70 cm from the house, and none where they recently dug (this is because I believe the ground will settle. Drainage was done in December and I plan to build in April)
- Place joists on the Leca blocks

When I built our wooden deck, I attached it to the house. Are you planning to do the same? Then I dug down concrete blocks for the rest of the support points, but I wanted mine 700 above ground to avoid steps at the door. I built with 2"9 beams and spaced them c/c 60 with 2"8 so I don't need to shovel any snow

It's a good idea to avoid the "ditch" where you dug because there will be settling even though it varies depending on the soil conditions. We have blue clay, so it's still sinking here 6 years later
The recommendation is usually a maximum of 2 m between concrete blocks in all directions; I believe the same applies for concrete blocks on the ground. I'm going to continue building on ours this summer, but at ground level, so I will skip the concrete blocks and plan to lay concrete slabs on the ground. However, I'll likely do some minor groundwork with gravel of some kind underneath them. I'm not completely finished with the design yet.

c/c 60 means that you have studs every 60 centimeters. These rest on leca blocks or piers. How does this relate to "max 2m between piers in all directions"?
Does this mean that you place rows with leca/piers where there is 60 cm between each leca/pier? The next row is 2 meters outside the first one?

Not a dumb question! c/c actually means center to center, so in this case, it means there are 60 cm between the center points of two studs, basically as you said.avskedsfest said:

The joists you place on the lecablocks are the load-bearing beams, and you should have a maximum of 2 m between each leca in all directions where other leca are placed. On top of the rows with load-bearing beams, you lay joists which, in my case, were 60 cm between centers, and then decking on top of that. Just like wanegardh, I used 28x120 decking; there are thinner options, but I do not recommend using those.
2"8 (pronounced 2 inch 8) is the old measurement system, corresponding to 200x45, and 2"9 corresponds to 220x45.
