We recently bought a Myresjöhus from 1990 and it is a split-level house. For some reason, the people who built the house did not install a staircase between the floors, and we will be doing this shortly. However, we have not gotten far enough to know/have checked how thick the floor structure is, and this is needed to get a quote from a stair company we have found.
What is the normal floor structure thickness for a split-level house with a built masonry basement and a wooden frame on the upper floor? It doesn't need to be exact to get a price quote. Of course, we will provide exact measurements when ordering, but the carpenter will help with that.
The floor-to-floor dimension should be the ceiling height on the basement level + floor structure thickness, right?

Split-level houses are usually considered to have a basement, and I can imagine that you have a wooden joist floor. I'm guessing the dimension is 220 mm thick. It could also be an EW joist floor, but I don't know what the thickness of that would be. Calling Myresjöhus and asking them if they have any information about what joists they used when your house was built could also be an idea. I think they should be able to answer that since the house isn't that terribly old.
