Hi
I need some advice before I get started on the final part of the new laundry room. The rough and unevenly plastered concrete ceiling in the laundry room was left until last when the boiler room became a laundry room. Six 10w spotlights are going in with the smallest possible drop, and now I would like to glue the battens to the ceiling gypsum instead of drilling.
I'm sure it would hold well if the ceiling hadn't been plastered and painted before, but can I trust that the paint and plaster will stay if I glue the battens with PL600? How close together should I screw otherwise?
I bought short planks to be able to set up the ceiling without lift assistance (2.15m ceiling height) and missed that these panels can't be taped. Plan B is now to plaster the joints and cover the entire ceiling with microlite. Will that be good, or is it better to switch to large panels instead?
Best regards,
Martin
