We are just about to start a renovation of our apartment and are thinking about recessed sliding doors.
I have searched the internet and haven't found a suitable supplier, so I'm asking for advice here.
Double doors recessed into the wall
The dimensions of the doors should be approximately:
600 wide, 2500 high.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed? Are there cassettes that are that high, or should we consider a different approach? Is it even possible to build sliding doors of this kind at a reasonable price?
Do you have any other alternatives?

Of course it can be done, it's probably mainly your own craftsmanship that sets the limits.
You could make the doors from scratch, but that might be a bit overkill for sensible people - unlike me... :S
Another option is to buy only the door panels and construct the sliding tracks yourself.
It's mainly the height of the doors that might be a challenge with that method - 2500mm is hefty for doors.
But with door panels, hang rollers, and profile beams, you can fix it the way you want, as long as you find door panels with that height.
