neo11: Cut away the clump and install the frame before plastering. Then place a 22*95 batten against the white wall in line with the frame, and plaster.
AndersS: As long as you have something underneath for the nail to grab onto, you can do it. So if there are battens underneath, you must nail into the battens.
Lars Hagberg1: [citat] Yes, I have 30-40 such tiles. If you're passing by Gothenburg/Mölndal, I'll give you the address and phone number? 600 kr cash or Swish
Lennart12: Hi, can use 2 steel beams like HEA140-HEA160 as below. Demolish half of the wall, install the first one, then the second half and install the second one. [bild]
fribygg: Hello and welcome to Byggahus! Are you planning to nail the panel discreetly or visibly?
wildeside: Answering my own question due to lack of better responses. Test glued with Biltema multibond rapid art.nr 38-029. The result was above expectations. After several blows with a 2 kg sledgehammer, the 20 cm stud detached from the concrete by simply breaking in the wood, so the glue and part of the wood stud remained attached to the concrete. I must say it is a good construction adhesive for a cheap
Sutteräng: Planning to install a Purus floor drain on a Purus board 2014 in a wooden joist structure, and I am thinking of using particle board, self-leveling compound with reinforcement, and tiles. I plan to lay electric floor heating Kelvin VK500 (see manual below), which I will attach with cable ties to the reinforcement before leveling. The included raising ring for the Purus board is 12 mm. Is that
Rebecca Axelsson: [citat] I would love to know what tape it is!
Ironside: Okay, chopped away the old inner part, removed unnecessary plaster in the passageway, accidentally took away a bit too much so had to repair a bit on the outside as well! Cut and glued the insect net (alum) with MS Polymer. Started building up for the inner part but it really wasn't easy without some form of skeleton, you needed it to be quite thick and have to work with your hands to build it up
RiKr: Isn't it enough with spacing at cc600 in the walls? Since there will still be wooden boards behind.
Trotanoob: Hi! I have a garage with a peculiar construction on stilts. I'm now going to freshen up the interior with drywall and paint. But what should I do with this gap? The garage has insulated walls and roof, so I would like to seal it as well as possible. Foam sealant? Polyurethane foam?
kaj123: I am going to wall up a hole and install a soot door in a wall of red burnt bricks. In stock, I only have yellow firebrick. Is it possible to use these together with red brick? And what type of mortar would be most suitable in that case?
pacman42: It completely depends on what kind of soil conditions you have.
Spikbjörn: Difficult to know, maybe some inspector or similar can check if it is just old adjustments to adapt to, or if there are problems that can/must be addressed. Slightly skewed houses work too, but if there is a weak construction in the foundation, or damage, it might need to be stopped or corrected.
misaki: My balcony was built in the 60s and has probably never undergone any major maintenance. The underside seems to have been filled and painted by previous owners, perhaps to conceal its actual condition. Under the balcony, there is a fairly wide and long crack at the front where the railing is attached. It is only attached there. Now I'm wondering if there might be a risk that the concrete is in
menhir: [citat] Thanks for your reply. It sounds like it could work. :) There are two options without tearing down the existing outer wall; either just filling up with insulation and building the inner part of the wall or making ventilation holes at the top and bottom of the OSB from the inside in each section, creating an air gap, and then filling with insulation. Is the latter just unnecessary work
jan74: I would like to open up more towards the kitchen, removed the door frame, see that there is a timber against the chimney, running from the floor and continuing to the floor on the upper floor! But I suspect this has a load-bearing function! This is more to confirm that I am thinking correctly! Feel free to share your thoughts. Best regards, J
Kurt NO: Yes, I have this problem too. I think it occurs on the surfaces where the glazier has cut the glass. What can one do?
Sebastian med huset: [citat] You might want to test mix some concrete with the cement and see if it hardens. The risk is that the cement has reacted with moisture in the air and is therefore no longer active. I wouldn't risk mixing concrete with old cement when it's so easy to test if it works. The age itself probably isn't an issue.
Huddingebo: 3dl does not cause water damage. It will dry up, forget this and try to avoid it happening frequently.

Johan Gunverth: Beijer and others have aluminum insect screens on a roll. I have used these myself, but they are only a couple of years old so I cannot comment on the long-term durability. Depending on how the outer grille looks, you can often attach them with hot glue.
Mange-: [citat] Did you drill holes in the hea beam and bolt the angles?
Adamvest: [citat] Yes! I think I'll call it a day now after another round, and it's maybe a 1mm difference when I place the wallpaper ruler. I hope it will be enough to hang shelves over the wall. Or what I want specifically on that wall is to hang long picture shelves. So I hope it turns out well! Thanks for the responses! It really helps to get some feedback from someone.
fredrik.johansson: You start by deciding which door you want to have, then you can make a frame so that the door fits. Then you cover the rest of the wall with drywall, beadboard, or something else. Also, consider the interior you want to have so that it really fits; for example, if you are going to have wire baskets, they must be able to open through the doorway.
Jomp3: [citat] Cement filler is difficult to sand effectively, so to get a smooth result faster, this solution was chosen. Good luck!
IllBeDipped: [citat] And easier to get it straight. As long as the hanging track is straight, everything underneath will also be straight. And it's convenient to vary the widths of the shelves if you want to.
