Hello,

I've started noticing gaps in my lockläcktspanel and I'm wondering what the best way is to fix this. I've tried hammering in the existing nails without success. Should I add more nails or is sealant the best option? When I apply significant pressure with my body, I can push some of the lockläkt panels back against the façade.

Only aesthetically, the façade and the wood are otherwise in good condition.

Best regards

No one with experience of this?

Is it machine or hand-nailed?
What size nails were used?

Hi Anders. Don't know if it's machine or hand nailed. It should be 2.8 -70 dimension.

For hand-nailed covering strips, I use galvanized 100*3.4 mm, I think the 70*2.8 mm is too weak. What dimension is the covering strip?

Do you know if I can put more nails in the same lockläckt? I have tried to nail in the existing ones but without result. As I understand, they should be centered.

As long as you have something underneath for the nail to grab onto, you can do it. So if there are battens underneath, you must nail into the battens.
