I'm looking for insect screens for the house ventilation. The nearest store only sells the soft fiber nets, but I'm doubtful they will last in the long run. You also don't want anything that rusts or that insects can get through.

Beijer and others have aluminum insect screens on a roll. I have used these myself, but they are only a couple of years old so I cannot comment on the long-term durability. Depending on how the outer grille looks, you can often attach them with hot glue.
