Galt: If it is a stud wall, you can use a magnet to find the covered screw heads in the wall, where you also have the studs. If you want, you can then drill two 8-10 mm holes 4-5 cm apart (next to the studs, don't drill deeper than through the panel material), shine a light through one hole and peek through the other. After doing this, you should have a pretty good understanding of the wall.
Krilleman: 8mm hole, brown plug/MZK, bracket screw approximately 6mm. Holds like a rock. Concrete screw is sufficient with 6mm.
