Shed roof for extension (summer room/porch approach - "open roof", skylight)
- Width 3m x Length 6m
- Slope 13 degrees
- Snow load class 1.5
- 0.55 kN/m2 - Felt roof (initially without insulation, may be insulated later)

Have come to these options and would prefer 1200 cc

CC 1200 mm (desirable)
> Glulam 90×180 GL30c, deflection 11 mm (L/269)*, utilization rate 66%
> Glulam 115×180 GL30c, deflection 9 mm (L/344), utilization rate 52%

CC 600 mm (okay..)
> Structural timber 45×195 C24, deflection 10 mm (L/286)*, utilization rate 81%

Seems reasonable, and I assume that 115×180 GL30c is the choice

I don't quite understand how you calculated it? What will be the span of the beams, 3 or 6 meters?

Sorry - > 3m span as the central measure, the room is 6m long (beams at 1200 cc)

I wonder if you have calculated correctly? You have very high deformations in relation to dimensions and span.

It's difficult to obtain 90x180mm glulam, or at least harder than other dimensions stocked by Beijer, Bauhaus, etc.

Thank you, which dimensions of glulam are "easy" to acquire?

Alternatively, should I go for 45×195 C24 and 600 cc instead, easy to acquire...

Look through the assortments but I was also considering using 90x180, but realized it would need to be ordered. Maybe not a big price difference, I don't know.

90x225 and 56x225 are easier, available at Beijer, Bauhaus, and Byggmax.

How many stolpar should you have?

> How many posts should you have?

Do you mean on the outer wall? Thinking of a load-bearing outer wall (600 cc) that can be insulated in the long run and beams up on the facade
