First post here on the forum, I became a member because we just bought a plot and are going to build a house. Realized there is quite a lot to tackle, so it will be an exciting journey!
But onto my question. We are currently trying to plan the placement of the house and garage on the plot. We're doing this with the help of scale drawings of the buildings on a new construction map. Realized that it's quite hopeless to get a picture or feel of how it would look that way. So, does anyone know if there's a way to have it drawn in 3D online? It doesn't need to be our exact house, but so that you can input building area, height, plot size, etc., to get a better sense of the placement?

It is not the easiest tool, but SketchUp Free is great to draw in. There is a small learning curve at the beginning (it was for me at least), but it is incredibly powerful for a free product. There are a ton of videos on YouTube on how to do all sorts of things.
I ended up making construction drawings, facade drawings, and plot plans with it.
Drawing up the plot and a house without too much detail is quite simple.
