Hello!

Planning to renovate the kitchen where a wall about 2 meters wide will be built in the middle of the kitchen for tall cabinets, etc.

I'm considering whether to lay the floor first (laminate flooring) and then place a beam on the floor, mark about 1/2 to 1 cm around the beam, and then cut out the floor with the multi-cutter. It seems like this could save a lot of time and trouble when laying the floor since the rest of the kitchen is a large area without obstacles. Could also move the beam slightly to avoid getting too close to a seam.

Also wondering how you usually handle under the base cabinets, build under the entire thing or just go a few cm under the cabinet plinth?

Best regards, Stefan

It works fine to do as you think.

Either way works, it's enough to lay the floor so the plinth covers the ends.
