Nail or screw plywood on the wall?

I am going to put up plywood directly against the studs in a hobby room and am now considering if it is okay to use nails to attach them? Screws wouldn't look as nice since only plywood will be visible. Are nails from a nail gun sufficient to attach them with?

Of course nails work if you choose the right nails. I think you should choose something with a bit of grip so they can hold the plywood flat against the wall, plywood is never completely straight and smooth.

Something has to be on the studs, so if you're unhappy with plywood, it's perhaps more likely that you would put plaster on it?

Screws and nails have approximately the same size head, I would even say that screws have a slightly smaller head.

Why do you think screws would be uglier than nails?

Nails work of course, but it's faster and less tiring with screws.

If you shoot the nail with a nail gun, it should be fast enough.
