Snickarkirre: Can't you glue a steel rail with something like PL800 or equivalent? I don't think the mortar sticks very well to a polished steel rail. You'll probably just need to make sure to vacuum thoroughly so the leca is dust-free for the glue to grip.

raveper: If it feels like it’s secure, you can probably relax, even though your idea about a longer screw might be accurate. What you might consider is that it could loosen over time if it’s used and pulled on a lot, but probably not.
iceman-eklund: Just want to add that the tip I received before is to use hydrochloric acid (like Biltema's or the equivalent in Spain) and then possibly a rotating pressure washer and/or brush and water. MVJK: Did this: lying 70x45 with some short supports underneath. This way I could get everything even and horizontal. The tall cabinets will be attached to a rail on the wall, so the weight shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for all the input! [bild]

optimum: Is it about notching the pillar for beams that need to fit into cutouts? If so, I did it with a circular saw on my pillars for the sunroom. Set the depth on the circular saw and cut lots of strips. I tested the depth on a test piece to make sure it was the right depth. These strips are knocked out with a hammer and then smoothed out with a chisel, and finally, the surface is sanded to make it
mexitegel: The pipe will not crack. Concrete even shrinks slightly as it cures. Just make sure that the construction cannot topple over or the slab come loose if, for example, a child climbs up and jumps on the edge.
