H_L: Went and picked up 2 such sheets/flashing for my two attic windows of the half-moon type. The windows are quite large (12 x 6) so it might be comparable to your roof. The sheet metal worker needed 1 day and I provided the frame as a template. I had to shell out 750 kr (!!) each for them. It felt expensive, but I needed them. It might be good to keep in mind that it can cost quite a bit.

Mats: The trick I was taught was a regular screw in reverse until the tip goes through the sheet metal, then forward again. It's the screw head that's supposed to hold the paper on the gypsum board in place, and then the paper holds the rest of the gypsum, so to speak, so I haven't seen any problem with that.
