We are planning to expand our house next spring/summer.
What we are considering is how the foundation should be built?
The house is a 1.5-story wooden house with a basement on a slope from 1940.
The idea is to extend the house from one gable by 3-4 meters.
We have planned to hire an architect to help with the floor plans.
Where does one turn to conduct a technical building investigation?
We already have a skilled local carpenter.
I would gladly receive tips on architects, preferably around Gävleborg, for the expansion and who to contact to find out how we should build.
I have assumed that we will have to build up a part against the slope and then cast a slab, but as I said, these are just my thoughts.
