I want to cast a concrete bench as a work surface over a washing machine and dryer. It should have the dimensions 65 x 165 and will rest on brick gables. I have seen work descriptions for bench casting, but no one ever says how thick a bench should be. Does anyone know??

I read your question too quickly there. I thought you wanted a job description.
There doesn't seem to be any tips about thickness in the description I linked to.

I would aim for 7-10 cm. If you lay a reinforcement mesh in it and iron around the outer edge, it should hold with margin.

Sure, it will surely hold, but I want it as thin as possible, and if you study Finja's environmental images, the benches look significantly thinner than 7-10 cm. After all, each cm of the sheet weighs 25 kg.

the disc is 40-50mm thick
