gaia: Hydrochloric acid is not actually used for neutralization purposes. The hydrochloric acid dissolves the lime and removes the white lime film from the brick surface. It also dissolves the mortar. You should thoroughly wet the joints with water before you start brushing on the acid so the joints don't absorb too much of the acid. Afterwards, you should rinse thoroughly with water to remove remnants
Hobbit: Oops - I apparently forgot that there is an extra section "FÖNSTER" here So I'll move the question there.
General_Failure: [citat] Not sure if this solution is kosher, but you can let the plastic from the other areas overlap the moisture barrier by a few centimeters and then paint together the plastic and moisture barrier with moisture barrier.
MHelin: Hi CarlOscar! The relocation of a log house never became relevant because I actually happened to stumble upon my dream house - a heritage-listed large log house from the late 1700s with wedge-sawn floors in dinosaur size and a large lovely plot! The house requires a lot of renovation and maintenance but is fundamentally sound. So since November 16th, I am a proud building conservator... ;D Thank
znuggi: Is there any kind reader who has a house (or knows someone) with iron vitriol-treated larch cladding? If so, please feel free to send a direct message or reply to this thread. The house should preferably be located in Skåne / Alternatively many web images ;) We have probably decided on larch cladding but would love to see it installed (preferably aged)
betula: Check previous posts about asp http://www.byggahus.se/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=byggmatr;action=display;num=1073913275
ama: Silvan has some type of granite window sills for under 500 SEK each, the price depends on the length and other dimensions and type of stone (last time I checked, China white (black and white) was cheaper than New Africa (dark gray)). _If_ I remember correctly, the thickness is 20 mm. /ama
Ernst: Thank you for the great insights. In 2020, the limit value will also become 200 for existing houses. In Näsbypark, where we live, many houses were built in the 1950s and constructed with blåbetong. There is also ground radon in many houses. We are hesitant to buy a house with blåbetong ourselves, especially since we have children between 10 months and 7 years old. The house is charming but has
Fasting65: It is amazing fun that there are people who want to preserve these beautiful houses. I am absolutely sure that it will be incredibly beautiful once you have removed the mexitegel.
MrMagic: An oiled floor becomes harder on the surface, as the oil crystallizes in the pores and becomes hard, thereby making it more durable. I don't think you need to oil it that often afterwards...
JLT: There shouldn't be any problem with finishing the plastering on one side before the other is installed. It takes a lot of force for you to "damage" the plastering on the first side. ;D
Matti: there are a total of 5 categories (A1-A5) of steel, of which A3 is so-called stainless and A4 acid-resistant, acid-resistant is more resistant to corrosion and harder but at the same time more brittle, at least when heated...
tiggre: there is this that should "reflect" the heat, http://www.diamantborrarna.se/ThR/ThR7.html as for why there is aluminum foil on plasterboard? well... don't know, but I have a theory... plasterboard conducts heat poorly, maybe they thought that with the aluminum foil it would have a leveling effect? no idea... I'll ask the builder, convinced that he knows why
lastkaj: If the vapor barrier is leaky, moisture might be because of that. Unfortunately, there is probably no easy solution to your problem, a bad vapor barrier must be corrected, otherwise you'll have issues. Alternatively, you can ventilate a lot, but that won't be cheap :'(
Tommy_S: With tongue and groove there is minimal waste as well. Regardless, I think it's just a matter of nailing it on without splicing onto the stud.
MrMagic: Would guess about 5 or maybe 6 meters... I don't think they reach 8 meters..... But there are rotor cars that have some type of conveyor belt that reaches a bit further. Otherwise, it would be a pump truck, but that means 2 vehicles, one pump and one transport vehicle.
Nix: Iron vitriol Tinted paint of some other sort Glaze Untreated Check with kulturhantverkarna. They have pretty good knowledge of paints, in my opinion. (Nacka byggnadsvård also carries their paints). Otherwise, Gysinge is always worth a visit...
kalleanka70: Can't imagine the reconstruction is finished. It usually takes time. They have told our architect that they are working as usual, but I would be very vigilant; you don't want to tie up a construction on items that aren't coming. Advance payment is out of the question in any case.
Fasting65: We plastered the house with Optiroc's Serporoc system. When I spoke to a technical expert at Optiroc, we concluded that mineral wool insulation is better. They do have polystyrene as well, but he wasn't too fond of this solution, without saying it directly. He mentioned that polystyrene is often used on rental buildings and the like where there's more cost-cutting. However, he noted that
Honken_byggare: A tip is nail plug types like brass head or FZB head depending on the trim color, they have a small head. Then you insert the plug inside the trim and tap in the screw and can easily unscrew it if you wish. Plus if you have concrete, lightweight concrete, or leca in the walls as it creates such large ugly holes if you have nailed the trims and want to remove them. Best regards, Honken
KarlXII: Don't look at the unit price - consider the prices for everything you need at once, e.g., a whole pallet of 50 boards. With volume purchases, the most expensive supplier can suddenly become the cheapest....
Lycko: Interesting to read. We have built an Eksjö hus kvadraten house and have lots of timber left over and then there's insulation on the subfloor which is meant for the walls and the ceiling. We might have to buy something extra but it won't be much. We also have lots of timber so we could build a double garage, just saying :) There are certainly about 40 drywall sheets so we are really very pleased
Nix: I have an acquaintance who is a civil engineer V and married to a carpenter. They did everything on their house themselves, from the foundation to the roof. Except for the roof trusses. It was cheaper to buy them ready-made. They did have a more complex construction than a hipped roof, but still...
betula: Check directly with the manufacturers. At www.bitus.se, for example, there's a bargain corner with prices and everything. But you have to pick up the lumber yourself or pay for shipping if it's about larger volumes ;D
Lycko: Hello I know there are lots of links about this, but I still want to start a new one. I have an approximately 60 sqm apartment that I want to furnish. I would like a more detailed list of what it costs, like bathrooms, insulation/building materials, well you probably understand. It obviously depends on what standard you want, but it's always fun to know what people have done and what it costs. We
NordiCs: We are about to start building a split-level villa and are now considering how to construct the basement. We want to do as much as possible ourselves and the options we have are to build with Leca blocks (which we use to build an extra wall with insulation inside), Thermo Kub (with panels inside), or Lammi house blocks (only plastering). We are leaning towards Lammi house blocks because we would
betula: A price listing for alder sauna paneling, 13x80 mm, 15:50 SEK/lpm including VAT. Not directly in GBG but it can be ordered from Vingåker www.carlsdal.se. They also have aspen and birch paneling as well as lathwood. Why anyone would choose birch for a sauna and burn themselves, I do not know :)
betula: There is research showing that spruce from Småland is better than northern spruce in terms of strength. The difference is not big, but contrary to what most people believe and what the sellers say. Trees should not grow too slowly, with too narrow growth rings, as that results in 'svältved' which is worthless. However, for panel wood, it makes minimal difference unless you use fast-growing
