Paneled interior walls???

Hello,

I am working on an extension of a house in the archipelago and planning to have paneled walls to create a marine atmosphere. Unfortunately, I haven't seen the Sommartorpet feature on this yet (http://svt.se/svt/jsp/Crosslink.jsp?d=4771&a=230182) but it looks good in pictures.

I have discussed this with our carpenter and he has put up some finer "horizontal" råspont in our new guest cottage which we are going to paint to see how it turns out.

My question here is if there is any advice on how we should successfully achieve that genuine marine feel on the walls or if råspont is the right way to go?

Raw paneling probably works well for the marine feel, but to be sure you might have to do like "Kitschsteiger" - stuffed birds, pulleys and blocks, some fishing net and a few seashells.
