Found a place online offering oven doors with custom text for 1500:- and that would be fun... However, I became a bit skeptical when I heard that the material was aluminum.
Are there any obvious disadvantages with aluminum besides it not feeling as solid as good old cast iron? The appearance is reportedly the same... I should add that we actually plan to use the oven infrequently when it's brought out from a 40?-year slumber (anyone have any good recipes?).
