Hello everyone!!
We're moving into our new house at the end of July [Yay!!].
The problem is that there's a pond about 1.5*2.5m and around 1.5m deep, and we have two children aged 2 & 4. As everyone knows, kids love water. We need to put something over the pond that can support a tall 4-year-old. We're going to put up a fence around it, BUT as everyone knows, kids also love to climb where they're not supposed to :). Considering reinforcing mesh or similar. Anyone have any good suggestions??
We don’t want to cover the pond completely since there are 17 large goldfish that the kids love to watch.

Keep in mind that a small person can get into trouble even when it's only 10 cm deep if the little one stumbles wrong. I would probably sacrifice the goldfish/scoop them up & give them to someone more in need. Complete when the children are older.

There are sleepers around the pond to frame it. I was thinking of placing a cover on top of these. There will then be about 15-20cm between the cover and down to the water. I was thinking of installing some cross beams between the sleepers to support the cover.
