Jesca_j: Makrolon is shatterproof, more scratch-resistant, and more expensive.
BoByggarn: There are no problems with adding insulation to the outer wall with foam plastic - as long as there is no plastic foil on the inside. Otherwise, you will definitely have problems. The wall must be able to breathe.
sol: I'm a bit confused about the direction of shrinkage. I've read in the book "Slöjda i trä" by Jögge Sundquist that when the wood dries, the heartwood side will become convex and therefore should be placed upwards. Quite the opposite of what they said at the lumberyard. Hmm, could it be different for treated wood and other types? It shouldn't, I think. Is anyone absolutely sure about this?
norrlandshus_sthlm: test with natronlut not fun but it might work it will probably be patchy but you're going to oil or something afterward, right? use protective equipment ...nasty stuff like
mgb62: Hi In Västerås there is/was F:a Idé-rum. A great place to visit to get ideas and in some cases shop at reasonable prices. (If you could find a sales assistant, and if the items were in stock) Now they apparently have gone bankrupt. (again) Does anyone know if they are open and/or if there will be a clearance sale of the inventory? We had actually found some things we were thinking of buying,
CATengustav: Hello. At the recycling center in Eskilstuna, private individuals can leave sleepers free of charge, but if you are a business owner, you will probably have to pay around 5000 SEK/ton. Best regards, Gustav
charta77: Hmm, unit price 11.50 for nail clippers at byggmax?
Alfons_Helikopter: Carefully built frame type 35x70 on the plate. Half in half at the corners and a diagonal brace from the lower hinge to the upper corner. Four or six mm plywood on the inside, painted sauna panel on the outside, and a metal skirting 30-40 cm up at the bottom edge to handle rain splashes. A simple board is not very torsionally rigid. It will wobble and be difficult to make stable.
que: Maybe ABI trä has something like that? http://www.abi-tra.se/_start/index.htm
Johannabacken: 4000 including VAT for 3 pieces of 1355x675 laminated glass and fittings (12 pieces). ///Johannabacken
4integration: Oki, a French one with a plug in the joint it is. Thanks for the help.
cubix: No, that might not be so appropriate. But that thing with svärmor gives me some ideas.
Bob_the_builder: The limit is supposed to be at 18%. If it's more humid than that, it can mold during construction.
charta77: Has no constructor. I have now done as described above, but I'm not quite finished. I just need to nail the rule from the basement. But I have checked with a spirit level and two people who load the edge of the rule and it doesn't move at the floor drain... Yet.
charta77: Hello. I'm currently working on the bathroom. I've now torn up and removed an old cast iron. I see that there is actually plastic against the basement ceiling. Now that it's a bathroom, there will be two moisture barriers. This has worked for 35 years; is there any reason I should worry if I don't remove the plastic? The plastic isn't as thick as I usually perceive it to be. I will support part
cubix: The price depends a bit on how you want the new facade. However, I don't think you will get the timber you need for less than 10,000 SEK, more likely 12,000-15,000 SEK. Calculate how many m2 of facade it is, check with one of the insulation companies (Paroc or Isover) and you can see on their website how to add extra insulation if you plan to do so. On Beijer's website, you can get help with
Eld: The safest way is probably to insulate with cellulose fiber and skip the vapor barrier.
Thor: Absolutely, a plåtslagare can fix it, but I thought there might be a nice looking plåt profile available for purchase. I can't upload pictures, the slab is about to be cast soon, so ;) I was thinking of getting the doors done now before the construction starts..
hasse_f: My opinion: - Metal facade intended to imitate a wood facade = as ugly as it gets. - Metal facade that takes advantage of the special properties and possibilities of metal = can be as cool as it gets. Think wavy, completely smooth, copper-colored, stainless, etc. It all depends on what type of house you are planning to build; a rural idyll with white corners doesn't suit a metal facade in my
MathiasS: [citat] Perfect, I'll have to stop by and take a look at this.
trawolta: Check out Byggmax, they sell insulated storage doors with glass for 800 spämm!! They also sell exterior doors.
MathiasS: I'll send you a PM. Actually, I'll email you.
KarlXII: [citat] I'm with you there. Of course, it's a stud. By the way, I love using terms like starboard, port, the floor, the front, and the back when talking to boat people... ;)
Bob_the_builder: "Everyone" sells glulam, Beijer bygg e.g. http://www.beijerbygg.se
