I need to raise a floor in the basement by about 7 cm. There is a poorly insulated concrete slab underneath, and likely some moisture coming from below (despite drainage).

Wondering if EPSCement (thermal insulating lightweight concrete) could be an option? Planning to lay tiles on the floor.

Absolutely. You get rough leveling, insulation, and moisture protection all in one step. Then it's just a matter of leveling the floor and laying tiles if I understood it correctly.

I have a friend who works there, so I can give you some insider tips if you need them.

How do you mean that the EPS is moisture insulation?
