Building Materials and Construction Technology
Ziro: Hello! I think I've found the answer myself. It's slag! Apparently, a common material that was used as insulation in the past. It seems to retain heat well. /Ziro
Gutte: Hello! Our newly purchased house was originally plastered and then in the 60s extended with brick on the new parts. We decided to smooth plaster the brick sections and then splatter plastered the entire building with color pigment in the plaster. It turned out great! It didn't cost much either. Get in touch if you want to see before/after pictures.
MathiasS: It sounds like money down the drain - it does no good except to give yourselves peace of mind....:=) What you might consider is ensuring the paint you use does not dissolve the adhesive in the gypsum - it usually works fine but it doesn't hurt to check. I have also noted that the green outdoor gypsum matches Alcro's Djurgårdsgröna color that I have on moldings etc.....
unigas: The fact that prices differ between professionals and consumers for the same products ultimately just means that as a consumer, I'm paying for professionals to get it cheaper. There's no debate about the fact that brand manufacturers also produce low-priced products; it's completely normal. In most cases, it's the same product as in the branded packages for the simple reason that it's often very
Grankott: Hello! Now, after months of reading on this eminent forum, I have registered! This spring we bought a house built in '59. It is a brick house of 100 m2 plus a basement of 85 m2. The previous owner has been very diligent. He installed geothermal heating, insulated the roof, and redone the drainage. In connection with the kitchen renovation, he extended the kitchen by about 10 m2 + the same amount
pleximaster: Lightweight concrete with, for example, uranium-containing alum shale is the classic "blåbetong." Even bricks can in some cases be made with uranium-containing clay and thus emit radon. There are even 18th-century clay-clad houses in Österlen with high levels of radon as the clay used contained elevated levels of uranium. A little uranium is naturally found in all soil, and some of this uranium
tommiz: Oh well, I couldn't attach the image. I can email it to you if you give me your address and are interested.
Immobil: [citat] If you hadn't started with the oil, you could have varnished it with a matte clear varnish. ;)
rosvik7: Have been in contact with Åke and he is sending a brochure. A big thank you, Swede :) /Ronnie

MC: I am in the process of putting together a new dock and am considering screwing the decking from underneath to avoid screw holes on the top... I found Deckmaster from Grabber http://www.grabber.se/grabber/puff.asp?puff=2. Does anyone have experience with that? Prices? Are there other options?
NybyggarNisse: When we were searching for tiles for our house, we saw that Huskompaniet Scandeco has some tiles for outdoor use that are frost-resistant. Check out their website: www.huskompaniet-scandeco.com so maybe you'll find something that suits you.
MadMax: [citat] No, that's true, but what I meant is that it's still radiation and there's a lively discussion about whether radiation from mobile phones etc. can also cause cancer. [citat] I've also read about this while surfing around for information on this. However, I don't have any details on how they work and what they cost (it's not entirely impossible that they're very expensive and really
TsThorsell: Check at Bauhaus, but not on the shelf outside in the store, rather in their shelves inside by the panel saw. At Bauhaus Länna outside Stockholm, they have 3-meter boards there.
pt99jst: [citat] Bought bricks from him, nice guy to do business with.
Alfons_Helikopter: There are chemical additives to pour into the mortar and brush on the surfaces to make it adhere better. There are also special mortars with better adhesion than others specifically for repair jobs. In addition, there are chemicals that make the concrete more water-resistant. You can also roughen the surface, for example with a power tool and mounted grinding stone. Also, make sure that the
swede: Hello Found a page about cement products www.flodacement.se Regards ;D
KarlXII: You only went to Kuntze for the delightful smell of rubber...at least you used to when they were located at Hötorget. Now, down on Lindhagensgatan, it's not the same atmosphere at all.
KarlXII: Check out Bauhaus Haninge, right now they have a couple of 80 centimeters at half price!
Dicken: Exactly, that's what I did. Works perfectly. 2 mm is no problem, I probably had a few more mm. :)
albinson: Is it difficult to plaster a 60 cm high wall by myself? I don't want a completely smooth surface but rather one with some texture.
abel48: I bought TJ musstop, but made a budget version of it. First, I set up under the panel and then cut pieces of musstop and nailed them in between. Very quick and easy. Best regards, Anders
dfred: Try a high-pressure washer. It usually removes most things.
Bob_the_builder: Concrete stones are probably a bit cheaper, but they are so much heavier and more cumbersome to work with. Additionally, they insulate worse than lättklinker (leca). Double-pantile concrete roof tiles cost about 55 SEK/m2 for just the regular tiles. Then ridge tiles and other accessories are extra.
