I read in Expressen about shopping trips to Gdynia/Gdansk, where Swedes load cars and trailers full of tiles, kitchen and bathroom fittings, furniture, etc., often at less than half the price compared to Sweden.

Now I wonder if anyone has experience buying timber in, for example, Poland? I have searched the site but haven't found a word about this, which surprises me a lot. It should be possible to save a ton of money if you go down and buy material for, say, a 50 sqm surface structure. A rented truck should quite easily pay for itself, right? Or maybe you can get delivery if you buy enough?

What do you think? Is it completely crazy? Has anyone done it? :-/

Excuse me, UT-building it should naturally say ;D

Eh, found the thread... :-[

But got zero results when I used the "search the site" function and typed "polen". Hmmmm...

I should probably go to bed now instead, so I don't write any more nonsense...

Hey Djonn, are you still awake?

Click on Forum, then on Search the forum just below,
and search, and you'll get a bazillion hits on "polen".

Aha, that's where to click...
Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow! :)

Check with www.city-country.se, they import building materials from Poland and also facilitate contacts for e.g., tiles and the best part is they also arrange the shipping to Sweden as well!
