this question has come up before, I've seen in searches, but it's hard to get a definitive answer, maybe because each case is different.
I have a split-level house built in '79 where I want to remove a wall on the upper floor. Above is the attic and the roof trusses are W-shaped, i.e., 4 slanted supports, the width of the house is about 8 meters.
The wall I want to remove is 45x70 with a construction board on each side. Such a wall reasonably can't be load-bearing, right? Or should I consult a structural engineer? Is a building permit needed to remove an interior wall?
I was going to include a picture, but how the heck do you do that? Didn't find any help function...

I can then take the opportunity to try to explain how to upload an image.
First, you need to place the image on a web server.
Then you write a post and insert the image using the button
in the button row.
When you click the above button, you get two "tags" - a start tag and an end tag.
Between these tags, you place the address of your image that you've placed on a web server. Then the code looks like this (ignore the bold word Code...):
