Ironside: Hello, I needed to fill a threshold hole about 90x10x3 cm and all I had at home was an older bag of Bygg Max Ute Fix, which is a few years old. When mixing the fix, it became a bit lumpy but not a major problem really. It was applied at 9 PM last night and today, 12 hours later, it has settled a bit and become firmer but hasn't cured yet. How long should one wait before determining that this fix

I now want to replace the existing and worn plywood boards on the facade with something else and have been considering fiber cement (Minerit or another brand). Ironside: Chose to remove the boards that were embedded in the concrete and fill it in with some stone remnants and then a 3-4 cm layer of outdoor fix that I had left over from before. However, I didn't have any rebar but maybe it doesn't matter in fix, it will probably crack anyway. In this case, though, it doesn't matter since an oak threshold will be placed on top.

Reno2020: The plan is to renovate the stairs that were previously covered with a nailed carpet. I'm guessing that it's mostly pine, but what is the material on the actual step?? It neither feels nor looks like wood... I don't want to repaint the stairs but have them entirely in wood in a shade as close as possible to the future parquet floor. How can this be done at a reasonably affordable price without
Åsa Lund: Why? I think it looks nicer with a chimney each. Easier to get it right too. Tipi is even simpler than a fireplace and warms really well for two people sitting in their own chairs in front and sipping rosé on a summer evening
1977bjorn: I think you'll have to wait until you can examine it on-site :) You might want to "open it up" again, or not... If you lay needle felt carpet on the entire staircase, you want it to fit tightly on the sides too, and in that case, there can't be gaps. Those gaps seem a bit too large to fill with latex. I would have tried to saw something to size in wood, a miter saw and miter box would help
David_Berglund: Answering my own question, and realizing that I have done too little research... Bender has 900 high, and in conversation with them, they suggested that you can also place them on their side to make them 1200 high but with denser vertical joints and the brushing horizontally instead of vertically. So that will probably be the solution for me.

sultanen1: I would have tried with a molding/edging strip 8* 32, on the "platten" against the floor cut in with a multi-saw in/under the floor molding. Against the threshold, I would have tried to get an older dark metal strip.
useless: The problem is probably UV resistance. Ordinary construction plastic is made of polyethylene - the same material as in plastic bags, bottles, water pipes, etc. If the material were dangerous, people would have gotten sick from other products than construction plastic a long time ago.

justusandersson: No, I didn't believe in lättbetong. It didn't match the construction year. Brick or concrete hollow blocks or possibly concrete blocks are quite likely. Plus planking + plaster, but that wasn't it.

HomeboY: Hi everyone, I'm inexperienced when it comes to self-leveling compound and I'm working on leveling the bathroom floor. Most of it went well, but I skimped on compound in the last section, so there's not enough slope right there. It needs about a 5 mm slope over 1.5 m length and 1.4 m width. What's the easiest way to do this? If I pour another bag of what I used for the whole leveling, I'm afraid
