The plan is to renovate the stairs that were previously covered with a nailed carpet. I'm guessing that it's mostly pine, but what is the material on the actual step?? It neither feels nor looks like wood...
I don't want to repaint the stairs but have them entirely in wood in a shade as close as possible to the future parquet floor. How can this be done at a reasonably affordable price without going to a company?
