I'm afraid I've made a mistake and hope someone can help me. I've created my own desktop environment from valcromat and then oiled the boards with paraffin oil.
Now I notice that the oil isn't drying. If I place a paper on the table, there are oil stains after a few hours. I didn't apply much oil at all when I oiled it, and when you feel the surface, it feels dry. However, it releases oil.
Now I need to solve this somehow and hope for help here. What can I do to remove the oil or somehow seal it in?
I've googled around quite a bit but haven't found any help, so now I'm hoping for you here in the forum

Can you heat gently with a hot air gun and see if it absorbs better into the substrate or not?
