Jag har tabort färg på huset. Nu det e dax att måla men nårga säger att jag behöver ojla träd, sen primer x2 och måla 3x.
Andra säger att man bara kör att måla direct utan at göra minde eller mer.
I am really sorry for my poor Swedish. I will write in English under.

I have sanded away the old paint from the facade, I am now going to change the panels that need to be changed. Once that is done I am going to paint. But I have been told many stories or how to do and I no longer know what is right.

I was told that I need to oil the wood, let it sit and dry up. The several coats of primer and the 3 layers of paint. I have never had to do this before but this feels over the top and will cost more than a new car...lol
Then one person said that all we need to do is get good quality paint and w that we don't need any oil, primer or endless layers of the main paint.
I need and welcome all answers as this Canadian Swede woman is lost as to how to fix this.

Thanks to no end for the help.....

It depends on what kind of paint the old one is, and how much of it is still there. Even if the wood is stripped bare of all paint, it still depends on what type of new paint that you want to apply (for instance, Falu Rödfärg or similar ”slamfärg” doesn’t need any primer).

Most likely, for most modern paints you should probably apply an oil, let it dry, and then one layer of base (”primer”) and two layers of paint.

Thank you so much!

We have managed to remove all the paint. There was a mix of "plastic paint" and patched up w what seems like an old red paint found wherever
thanks for the help.
