Hej,
I am not good in Swedish and could explain better in English, so please excuse me about the language here.

We have bought and soon will move to a rådhus from 1970s. Seller, who already had moved few weeks ago informed us about leakage in one of the bathroom’s tap. We saw water coming out from underneath of the taps base which was under the sink. Also water slowly drips and collects on the bathroom floor. Including upon the drainage pipe which had wet and wobbly like spackel around it. There is no other dampness etc seen on wall area. As the walls and floor both have våtrums Mats.

my question is how much serious this problem looks like (please see the picture), how much it may cost us and how it could be fixed?

Please help me about it. Thanks.

Not sure that I understand the description of the problem.

Upload a picture that shows where the water is comming from. If it is comming from the actual tap. Then the worst scenario is that you need to get a new tap. It may also be simpler, that there is just a connection that needs to be tightened. You can either do it yourself, it is not difficult. Or you can buy a tap with installation included from several stores. Prices in that case are from app. 2000 and up.

Hej,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Went only to check the problem,Not taken possession of house yet. So I don’t have that picture.
But the water was coming from the joint of the tap and water carrying hose/pipe , from under the metal tap itself,
Mvh.

If it is from the joint, it probably just needs to be tightened. There may be something fundamentally wrong with the joint, so that it needs to be tightened again in 2 - 5 years. If so, get the joint replaced.

Ok. We will replace the tap and the joint to the water pipe.
An another point of worry is, it also seems that the water is not passing easily through the drain pipe and keep coming out slowly from this grey sealed stuff/spackel (see in photo) even after 15 minutes of stopping the water tap.
Do you think we need to get this drain pipe also checked and refixed to see the problem ? How much it may cost approximately for the work and the manpower? or it could be due to some clog in pipe and can be fixed by just cleaning the clog?

thank you so much for your guidance.
