Hi,
I have been living in an apartment in Helsingborg and using Cylinda dryer machine since 2022. It has been used for at least o e year before me. The machine has started to rust from the bottom left corner (sse the picture pls) and from a point close to the top right corner. I have used it in accordance with its user manual but landlord blames me about the issue. What could be done about the machine?

If it is kept constantly wet for 4 years than it might happen. Is it right next to the shower ?
Anyways its not the tenants fault.

Following the inspection, we can clearly establish that the rust damage has occurred due to the machine not being properly taken care of over time, primarily related to moisture being left in or around the dryer. This type of damage typically develops when regular maintenance and basic care are not followed, such as ventilation and drying after use.”
The guys who came for the inspection were not technicians and they just looked at the machine at a distance without even touching it.
The machine is in my bathroom and cared according to the user manual.

Either its just to much humidity in the bathroom caused by lack of proper ventilation,
or the filter/condensor in the machine has not been cleaned to often. (if the condensor is stuffed sometimes the condensation will not run out to the pump in the back but instead drip out the front. )

Although we are washing the condenser periodically, it seems some wet exists there. Is this something a technical problem?I InsidersUnited skrev:

It could be that the pump in the back of the machine is full of "ludd" (lint) and it does not empty out the water. Its usually caused by to much lint making its way through the lintfilter(the small one you empty everytime you use the machine) . Sometimes its broken, sometimes the filterframe is bent, lots of reasons.
You should have called your landlord the moment the rust started, they would have come and fixed it (or maybe not). Either way they could not at this point have been able to blame you.

My washing machine has also started to rust on front left side (both bottom and top corners)I InsidersUnited skrev:It could be that the pump in the back of the machine is full of "ludd" (lint) and it does not empty out the water. If your landlord wants you to pay anything, remember that the value of a 5 year old tumbledryer is next to nothing. And the difference between one that is rusty and one that is not, would probably in a small claims court ( if it ever got that far) be counted in a couple of hundred kronors.
I have been really annoyed about these rust issues on both dryer and washing machines. Your comment really relieved me and allowed me to breathe a sigh of relief! Tack så mycket!I InsidersUnited skrev:
