Replacing bearings FTX drum Swegon CASA R85
Bearing: 2pcs SKF 608-2RSH (8x22x7)
Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures during the disassembling and reassembling process but here you go how to get there.
After removing the drum from the device unscrew the front screws marked in read.
Inspect everything is in order and that the belt is not broken or cracked.
Then proceed to remove the top holder of the brushes by unscrewing the two screws op the back side. You don't need to unscrew the three screws holding the brush.
Then remove the torx screws holding the shaft and the plate holding the bearing. You wont be able to extract the shaft until it gets unscrewed from the other side.
Now on the other side, first unscrew the screws holing the brush:
Take out the brush so you can get access to the torx screw holding the shaft. Unscrew the shaft. Now you should be able to take out the shaft and the plate holding the top bearing.
Some rules:
1) do not add grease or oil to the shaft.
2) do not bang on the shaft or bearing while replacing it.
Once the bearing is replaced you can unscrew the plate holding the bearing on the bottom of the drum and proceed to replace the bearing.
