Hi all. I'm sorry to post in English but honestly it's better than trying in really bad Swedish which makes no sense.

Today a supplier came and drilled for bergvärme in my back yard. All went well until a huge blowback of water came out of the hole, soaking the drilling operatives and my house. They quickly removed all the drilling pipes and hosed down my house (but still I see muddy spots I guess I have to deal with) and declared that since they got to within 4m of target depth, the job is done and "it's good to have water in the hole".

Two things - how do I know how deep they drilled, other than to simply trust them? They said they couldn't drill through the water so it may be true that they were just 4m short of target, but it may also be not as good as that and they could be fibbing.

Secondly, is it really good to have water in a bergvärme hole?

Thanks all

Countinually flowing groundwater provides your bore with energy. Can not be any better. Well sometimes you have trust a pro, no way of measuring
afterwards.

You know the length of the tube I suppose.

Thanks, so I understand now the significance of the water is it brings heat into the hole. Before I was thinking if water is so good why not just fill the hole up with a hose pipe! I got it now...

Daniel, how will I know the length of the tube, are they marked.?
