Hejhej!
unfortunately swedish is not my native language therefore I will continue in english. I hope you guys will understand and posting in not-swedish is no problem, thank you!
We are from Germany and since a few years we own a little vacation house in Småland, a soldattorpet about 200 years old, roughly 40 m². We love Sweden and we love our small house where we can stay. Compared to the size of the house it's garden is quiet big about 2500 m². There are also a few buildings (uthus) for storing wood, tools, a toilet etc. One of the buildings is made of a wooden frame wrapped in plastic with a clear roof also from plastic (in form of corrugated iron) which we assume was used as a greenhouse. The roof is flat but a bit inclined.
The reason I post in this forum is the greenhouse. Since the vacation house is small we would like to add another room for guests. Our idea is to convert the greenhouse into a guesthouse. It is about 3 m x 3 m which would be perfect for placing a two person bed and a closet. The greenhouse sits on point foundations and is made of a solid wooden frame. We have no use for the greenhouse but it would be a good base for building the guest house.
We would remove the plastic film from the frame and also the plastic plating from the roof. Where needed the frame will be stiffened by adding vertical and horizontal beams (the frame is made of ~5 x 10 cm beams, spacing ~1 m which might be a bit far away) . The facade shall be made from the typical standing ytterpanel painted with faluröd and will be insulated to keep the cold outside in winter and perhaps the heat outside in summer. The roof will be renewed so it is not clear anymore, probably using corrugated iron, and also insulated. The floor will also be insulated, right now it is made of wooden planks sitting on the foundations 5 - 10 cm above the ground.
All in all we think this would be a simple but sufficient solution for extending the living (or better 'sleeping') space we have. It would also be time-efficient as the base is already there.
We have all the tools needed for this job, we are handy and are aware of some construction details like air ventilation in the walls, vapour barrier, wind barrier etc. but here comes my question:
Is there any book or guide for swedish house construction which we can read while not in Sweden?
We are confident of that we can turn the greenhouse into a guest house on our self. It is small but we still want to do it proper and don't want to fight against rot and mold in a few years.
I know I can ask in this forum and already got so much information for other sweden house related stuff but a written guide would still be useful for some basic, general information.
Thank you guys so much!

I think this will help (in Swedish). This page has guidelines for all type of construction meeting Swedish standards and code.
It covers everything from wood to paint.

Don’t forget to check with your local authorities about permits. New construction may need permission from the city council. If the green house is older than 10 years there probably won’t be any issues of converting it but you should be aware that a permit might be needed anyway.
Also be concerned about fire safety regulations if you’re building close to another house and are planning to install a fireplace.

Tkank you for your replies!
I visited the mentioned website once but forgot it exists, now I know. I will take a look it seems to be full of information. Understanding written swedish is actually almost no problem.
Yes, we will check permission! Regarding fire safety - it is located 10 m away from the main house and we do not plan to fit a fireplace there, but we will check this too. Thanks!
