Hi, we bought a house but found problems with heating right after we got the key. Some of the radiators are icy cold, which leaves the house cold. I have to order plumbing service and replace the heat pump to solve the problem. We were not informed of the problems before and the inspection reports did not mention the problem either. Can I claim this from a Peruvian owner? Thank you for your answer!

The previous owner will probably say that you should have been able to detect this while you inspected the house and feel the radiators.
But why is it necessary to replace the heat pump? There are many other things that might cause the trouble.
1. if some of the radiators are warm the heat pump is not dead.
2. Maybe the cold radiators suffer from a hung-up thermostat. Remove the thermostat, watch out for the small metall tipp in the center and try to press it softly inwards or move it. It might come out a few millimeters and then the passage for the water is free again.
3. Maybe the circulation pump is adjusted to a low level. In many heat pumps this can be adjusted in the menu.
4. De-airing the radiators. Do you know how to do?

In this forum you will be given all types of advise for this trouble!

Hi, Thomas,

Thanks for your reply! On the day getting the key, i touched the radiator and told him it is cold. but he told me that it will heat up later during evening because the room temperature is good enough!

I checked thermostat and pressed the metall tipp, and bleed the radiators to make sure no airs in. The plumper told that the heat pump have issues and said needs to be replaced!

What type of issues?
How many radiator are working fine? Are the cold ones concentrated to a certain location? Upstairs, downstairs?
