Toilet and shower wall
Hi all.
I have been told that there is a regulation on new built houses that require the toilet to be a minimum distance form a shower screen (glass).
I am struggling to find evidence of this but would like to be sure before buying and mounting the shower screen.
Have I been misinformed?
UPDATE
IN think I have found my answer. Thanks.

Yes and no.
I think the set of rules you have in mind is for accessability. There are rules about how much free distance the must be for different functions in a room of that type. In short, it must be possible to drive in a wheelchair on one side of the toilet, and ther must be room for an assistant to stand and work on the other side of the toilet. There must also be room to move around and turn with a wheelchair in the room. I don't remember the required distances, but something like 80cm free space on one side and 40cm free space on the other side.
Those rules apply in order to get a final starting approval for a construction of a new house or modification of a house. There is no particular check that you obey the rules afterwords. After the final inspection needed for any contruction where you need a building permit.
It can also be fully OK to put up a shower wall in breach of the rules, as long as it can easily be removed, in case someone living in the house/appartment needs to use a wheelchair.

This document describes the accessability requirements: http://infobank.nacka.se/Handlingar...er_for_tillganglighet_vid_nya_byggprojekt.pdf
It's in Swedish but a lot of drawings.

Tack both for this. I came to same conclusions after some Google translate searches.
I think the wheel chair access is only enforced on a ground floor. This is an upstairs bathroom. But I measured and were well inside limits.
Thanks again.

Upstairs there are no accessibility requirements at all, no rules for distances. But for a toilet to be comfortable and easy to clean, it needs 40 cm from the centre of it to a wall or something else (in both directions).
