I recently purchased the Electrolux HOB655NF induction hob. According to the product information on the website, it supports 400V. However, upon unboxing it today, I noticed that the power cable only has a single phase connection.

My home setup includes a 16A fuse with 2-phase power. The label on the back of the hob mentions both 220V and 400V connections, but I was surprised to find that the L1 (black) wire is missing in the hob.

Could someone please clarify whether this model is compatible with a 2-phase connection, or have I possibly purchased a version that only supports single-phase power?

You should use the alternative "400 V 2N~" when installation the hob. You have to get a proper installation cable yourself. Should be minimum 4G1,5 mm2. It's better to use top clamps like Wago 221 för 2 and 3 conductors. [länk]
Thank you for the clarification.

Just to confirm — this hob does support 2-phase 400V (400 V 2N~), but we need to replace the existing cable with a suitable 2-phase cable ourselves as per the picture in the back of the hob, correct?

If so, is this the case with all Electrolux induction hobs nowadays — that the customer needs to buy and install the appropriate cable separately? I'm considering returning this model and purchasing an alternative hob that comes with a 2-phase cable already connected.

Appreciate your help!

Yes.

Either way it's a job for a professional electrician. As an ordinary consumer you are not allowed to install the hob and often the hob doesn't come with any cable at all.
