@nzsc, thanks for being so awesome and assisting in this thread. I have contacted a couple of people for quotes. When everything is finished, I'll write in this thread in case someone else needs.
I used Mats Eriksson (mebyggkakelab@gmail.com) as KA when I demolished a load-bearing wall. I thought he was good and easy to work with, he charged 4000 total for the job. I also used Kjell (who is recommended here) as a constructor.T Tusenhörningen said:
Mats himself lived in Malmö out in Håkanstorp, besides during the construction he came by 2 times. Once before the renovation started and once after to check that we were happy with everything. He seemed to have good knowledge of the construction industry and offered many good tips and advice. Can recommend.
Hello, just want to contribute and tell you how it went for me, I was primarily looking for a structural engineer in the Stockholm area, but was also open to contacting the engineer in Malmö if I didn't find someone here.
I ran into my neighbor who works with demolition and got a tip from him about an engineer they usually hire, at Kåver & Mellin.
It cost 8500:- including VAT, about 6 hours of work I guess. However, it took a few weeks to get it done as he did it on the side. A few rounds back and forth with suggestions from me that were well received. Good dialogue on the phone and over email. Satisfied with the material.

I am located in the Stockholm region and considering a conversion from a 2-room to a 3-room. I have a load-bearing wall between the kitchen and living room (see attached plan, where the kitchen is "at the top" of the plan). The building is from the early 1900s, floor 3/5. However, I don't plan to completely remove the wall, but rather open it up in two places (size-wise, the openings would be like a door at one spot and a bit larger at the other).
If people have tips, they are welcome, from constructors in the Stockholm region to practical details!
Did you complete the renovation and do you have any constructor to recommend? I'm in the same situation now in Stockholm and would gratefully appreciate all the help I can get

I used the contractor recommended here in the thread. It was very quick and smooth. I also received confirmation from the city planning office that no construction manager is needed since the walls are not load-bearing as we initially thought.
Now to the problem - I can't find a drilling company that can do the job. I've contacted some who said they don't do work for private individuals, and Diamantborrarna, who were supposed to send a quote, haven't followed up (I'll try to push them again, but they seemed doubtful). Another one didn't want to use ROT because "it becomes too much extra work," which made me suspect they wanted to do it off the books. Which construction companies have you in the Malmö area used, and is there anyone you can recommend?
