Identify door trim
If I were you, I would draw the profile to a 1:1 scale, take it to the nearest planing mill, and there's a good chance they have made those profile steels for another property owner who has been looking to complete their moldings and casings during renovation. Many profiles have a local twist or appearance that you won't find in a hardware store.J jahallåja said:I thank you for the tips and supplement with additional pictures if it provides any extra clues.
Is there any lumber yard or similar in the Gothenburg area that one should visit on a whim? Bauhaus had one called "antik" and the other suggestion could also work. But you might get lucky and see something else in some specialty store...
If the steel exists, you can just go for it; if not, and there's a lot to be manufactured, it might actually be an investment to produce a steel example through a planing mill that you then ask to keep. It usually costs between 1500-2500 depending on the size and complexity. Then you can take it to almost any joinery with a 4-cutter planer and ask them to help you.
Good luck
That one was very similar, I'll go and look at both that and Anna, which weren't far off either! Good tip with Abi, I'll take a trip there.MathiasS said:

I don't need to replace the skirting board this time since only a bit for the door needs to be removed. The trim will hopefully suffice as it's not adjacent to any existing list.
A bit tempted to go on a little hunt among sawmills, but this time I won't incur that cost.
