Hi,

I'm going to make a hole in an interior wall and would of course like to have the same casing -- or as similar as possible -- as around the other doors.

Anyone recognize this or can suggest something as similar as possible?

White interior door trim near a wooden floor, measuring approximately 65x15 mm, with a detailed design for matching other trims.

It seems to be about 65*15 mm.

Thanks!

It is usually available at most hardware stores. It is sometimes called "antik foder". There are a couple that are quite similar. So you should probably find it.

Well, that is probably older than what is available at the hardware stores nowadays, I think. It might be difficult to get without special ordering, or finding old trim somewhere.

Stood in the aisle at Hornbach feeling hopeless but will head to Bauhaus for a check. Thanks for the tip, I'll google and see if I find anything. Other tips on places in the Gothenburg area to explore are also welcome. K-Bygg didn't have anything either (off topic: there's rarely a crowd there..m).

The house is old so this is what I'm starting to fear...

This one is somewhat similar at least. http://panelochlist.se/lagerlista.htm

Yes, in the past there was hardly any "standard," so each carpenter/master builder would mill their own profile on moldings and trims. So it might be tricky to find exactly the same profile now.

edit: If you need exactly the same profile, you probably have to trace your current one and ask a millwork shop to mill new ones after the template.

Naturally, that's the case. However, there are some newly manufactured ones that quite closely resemble the ones TS has. These new ones are made to mimic the old ones.

I thank you for the tips and will add more pictures, if it provides any extra clue.

Is there any lumberyard or similar place in the Gothenburg region that one should visit on a whim? Bauhaus had one called "antik" and the other suggestion could also work. But maybe you'll get lucky and see something else in some specialty store...

ABI-trä in Frölunda has a large selection when it comes to moldings and trim.

I get completely cross-eyed from looking at your moldings so I can't decide if it's right, but the baseboard is from Moelven. They seem to be calling it "Klara" now. Available "everywhere". The molding around the door is not as common, but I wonder if it might be Moelven Anna?

I have the same baseboard as you but a different one around the windows, which is more similar to the baseboard but narrower.

I don't think TS profiles look at all like Moelven Klara or Anna. The proportions of the milling aren't the same. But, on the other hand, maybe it'll do anyway?

There's no doubt about the floor molding, but I'm only 22% sure about the door molding.....

OK, if you say so :) (but I'm still a bit doubtful)
Edit: I've checked again! And I can't see that the floor molding (the baseboard) that TS has is the same as Moelven's?
Sure, it resembles it, but it's not the same profile?

White wooden baseboard corner on a wooden floor. Cross-section of a white wooden baseboard molding with curved decorative edges.
