I'm currently working on a direct house with cellplast. I don't really have any complaints. I got the frame up BY MYSELF in a weekend. Then, of course, there was work with cutting out windows, etc. I didn't buy their plastic studs but used regular 45x45 steel studs which were significantly cheaper. Feel free to contact me if you have questions...

That sounds great, are you building a one-story house? Size?
It's good to have someone to bounce some questions off of who is in the same situation as yourself. Steel studs you say, sounds more expensive than plastic :) We were considering wood studs 45x45 instead, but I think in the quote we get the plastic studs included, so we might as well go with that, and the wood studs need to be very straight and nice if you are going to use them.

1.5 stories, slab on 140 sqm. Regarding the studs, steel cost about 20kr at Bauhaus, plastic at Cellplast was around 55kr plus VAT if I remember correctly. A 45x45 wooden stud should work well even if it's a bit crooked since there's plenty of space in the holes where they are supposed to fit.

What do you think about mixing organic with chemical materials? If you are to have wood in the foam plastic. Do you think there could be any complications?

You screw wooden studs on both the inside and outside anyway. It shouldn't matter if there is one in the middle too....
The disadvantage of the steel studs is that you can't tighten the screws as much, which is an advantage with wood. How the plastic studs are, I don't know.

What price per sqm have you received for the cell blocks?

Approximately 250 + VAT

Have they lowered the price that much? At the beginning of the post, it says that prices are around 1000 sek / m2? 250 sek is a really good price.

My mistake. 250 SEK each for the blocks, so 500 SEK/sqm. Then there are additional costs for studs, reinforcement, concrete, etc.

Ok, but it's still a relatively good price. I have been considering importing blocks from abroad, but now I might need to crunch the numbers again to see if it's worth it. Thanks for the information :)

Do you have any link where one can find the blocks abroad?

Finally, I've gotten started with "lego building" Foundation construction with white block walls resembling giant Lego bricks, partially built on a concrete base in a wooded area.

Have you installed rebar in every pour hole?

Have you raised reinforcement in each pour hole?
Yes, we have reinforcement for each block except by the doors. There was some that we had to cut afterward.
But according to cellplast directly it shouldn't be necessary but it feels safer that way.

Seriously. I drilled down 3 in each corner after the slab was cast, then that was enough.
