Terrified about the coming winter months.
My electric deal (Fast) goes out ,end of Nov. The company is notified,so free to get a new contract . I guess many of you are in the same situation. I live in a 180kvm house from 08. (Golvärmare. Värmepump.)
We Had a great deal 34 ore kw,for 2 years.live in the north of Stockholm.25000kws per year.I dont know where to turn ,for a new contract, l have ruled out tibber, spotpris, and buy a gadget that moniters, the cheaper times,purely for the fact that l dont think we should have to live our lives monitoring , el all the time. It is just not fair that the other government has created all this mess, and we are all hoping for a quick miracle, from the new government For support Even if,when it comes, it will not help people now expecting bills of ,l dread to think, 15-20,000kr for 4 weeks el. This is insane. People in the uk, are worried about paying as much as 20 to 40,000kr per year . We will have to pay this for only 2 months. And the new government are so busy forming and chaotic, all is totally quiet about ,the help house owners need now, not next year. Why do we have to be all depleated of all our savings and once again here next year we will hear,how many millions all these el/Companies have made out of us. It is totally wrong. I personally feel like refusing to pay. Put me in prison. Its the El companies and the last government that should be held accountable, they should be the ones to go to prison. We are all in the same boat,with no where to go. Totally screwed over. And we are supposed to just pay or go to kronofogden.this all totally wrong,criminal. Any suggestions ,should l try to get a new contract now or wait until further into novenber. Any advice much appreciated. Can answer in Swedish,not a problem.

So tibber / hour price and looking at what stuff consumes electricity and move those things that consumes alot to "off hours" when price is low.
Turn off all floor heating. Those cost a fortune in electircty
Think of getting another heat pump so your current doesnt have to just the extra electrical heater
No baths if you have a tub.
Cut down on showring times.
No more then 10 min at a time once aday.
After floor heating and house heating the biggest consumer of electricity is baths and showering.
Thats the biggest things you can do yourself to help yourself and your family.
Not doing anything = You will have so huge electrical bills you will call them "Snoop Dogg"
War is not fair. Deal with it. Not paying is only a solution if you also want to pay extra fees and high interest.
If you can heat with wood, do that. Lower the temperature (especially during day) and take quick showers.
If you dont want the smart route with extra usage of electricity during night, then the cost goes ever higher.
The prices on firm prices is terrible, i doubt it can get worse, especially if you try to consume some of it in a smart way during low price periods.

1. Look at "Vindandelar". I suspect they are difficult to find now, but if you have savings to use, you can lower the price per kWh significantly. Depending on your situation, the money may be better spent on optimizing your home
2. Look at "Förvaltad elfond" - It is not a fixed price (closer til "månadsrörligt") - if you find a company with competent analysts, hopefully you should be able to beat the weighted average other companies use
3. Adjust routines to lower your overall consumption. 25MWh/year for a 180kvm 2008 house in SE3 is on the high side for an average family (maybe you have 5 children or a small bakery at home that explains it) - but lowering target temperature 1-2 degrees, shorter showers, using the fireplace a bit more etc. can make a huge difference
4. I know you don't want "timdebitering". I didn't either - but it was the solution I went with. I've spent quite alot of time and effort into making this palatable for my family - discreet visual cues / showing how the timer works on dishwasher/washing machine/Teaching how to fill pellets in the stove etc. We started earlier this summer - and don't even think about it anymore. It's just another unconscious variable in deciding when to do things.
I am not a psycologist - quite the opposite. Usually I have no idea what people are feeling, and mostly don't care either way. But reading your post made me think that you would benefit greatly from moving past the frustration & anger and focus your energy on solutions for your particular household. Or atleast box the anger up for now, find solutions and *then* release it.
Take the suggestion for what it is or simply discard - it's all the same to me.
